With
its 250 kWatt the WES30 turbine is the WES18’s big sister.
Over 300 WES30 wind turbines are installed world-wide. Many of
them are installed in wind farms in India, next to agricultural
businesses and to (farm)houses where they produce cheap
and reliable electricity.
The WES30 is a grid connected system and especially suitable
for big electricity users and for small wind farms at logistically
difficult terrain. When the wind blows sufficiently (at least
5 m/s average) it will generate a lot of electricity. Due to its sturdy design is has a relatively low maintenance cost. This is a very reliable money-making
wind turbine. |

WES30 is a high yielding
wind turbine, formerly know as the LAGERWEY 30/250. It is the
result of 25 years experience in wind. The combination of variable
speed, a mechanical passive blade pitching system and a hinged
blade mounting system is unique in the world. |

The
WES30 is a sturdy and user-friendly wind turbine that can be installed
and used in logistically difficult locations. Some of the advantages
of WES30 are:
• turbine user-friendly
• easy in maintenance
• high reliability
• easy installation at difficult locations
• low loads on the gearbox and axle
• the AC/DC/AC principle allows the turbine to follow the
grid current
• mechanical passive blade pitch and active yaw applied |

With a 30m rotor diameter this a medium sized turbine. With
30, 36 or 50 meter towers it can even be erected with
relatively small cranes at difficult locations. |

Some examples of WES30 users are:
• farmers & isolated businesses
• large diesel generator users
• small electricity grids
• isolated communities |

The
WES30 starts producing electricity at wind speed of 3 m/s and is
already economical feasible with an average wind speed of 5 m/s.
On average, this
wind turbine can produce 650 MWh (MegaWatt/hour) per year at an
average wind speed of 7 m/s (moderate breeze). Please have a look
at the Energy
Production table for the details.
Only 10 WES30’s placed in a wind farm can
produce over 6500 MWh per year, contributing to a healthier
and greener environment. |
